The Studholme in snow - July 1972
Studholme Hotel in the snow - Winter of 1972

A South Canterbury Landmark

The Studholme Hotel sits proudly beside the main trunk railway at Studholme.

Originally built of timber, this railway hotel serviced the branch line that deviated to Waimate.

Although the last train departed on this long forgotten line back on March 31st, 1966 -  the platform, the hotel and the history remain.
